June 17, 2014 Board Meeting Agenda Item #28 Title APPROVAL TO AWARD BID #14-0296 FOR APPLIANCES Description Bids to provide 'Appliances' were received from two vendors on May 20, 2014.  The bids of Commercial Laundries of West Florida, Inc., and Mullet's Appliances were the best low bids meeting the advertised specifications.  Reasons for not selecting the apparent low bid are included with the bid tabulation.  This bid is for a period of one year with the option to renew for two additional one-year periods.  Funds for these purchases are contained in the capital budgets of the schools and departments. Recommendation That the bids of Commercial Laundries of West Florida, Inc., and Mullet's Appliances, to provide 'Appliances' in an amount not to exceed $75,000.00, be approved as presented.
